  1. Baa Ram Ewe Pip Colourwork

    Baa Ram Ewe Pip Colourwork

To celebrate the rich tradition of stranded knitting in Yorkshire, baa ram ewe have created their own dedicated colourwork yarn with British wool that is spun and dyed in Yorkshire. Pip Colourwork is a handy 25g size and knits to a standard 4 ply weight, with 126 yards on the ball. Like all of the other baa ram ewe yarns it has a beautiful handle: soft and squishy yet with enough grip to bind the shades together. The range includes 15 shades selected from the signature baa ram ewe palette which blend beautifully together, perfect for all your colour work needs. And the name? Pip comes from the traditional Swaledale ‘Yan Tan Thethera’ method of sheep counting: Yan (one), Tan (Two), Tether (Three), Mether (Four) and Pip (Five), which is perfect, as this is the fifth baa ram ewe yarn!
  2. Baa Ram Ewe Titus

    Baa Ram Ewe Titus

Baa Ram Ewe Titus is a delicious blend of Wensleydale and Bluefaced Leicester wool, combined with a touch of magical UK Alpaca. It is in homage to philanthropist and Yorkshire mill owner Sir Titus Salt. This luxurious yet authentic combination is also reflected in the shade range: deep, rich colours that evoke images and memories of a land which has such strong historic connections to wool and wool manufacturing. Titus is spun in Yorkshire, by West Yorkshire Spinners of Keighley - a business that is very close to our hearts here at The Loveliest Yarn Company!
